Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) experiences a desert climate with hot summers and mild winters. The city enjoys abundant sunshine throughout the year with very little rainfall.

Summer (June to September)

In the summer, between June-September, it is extremely hot and dry, with high temperatures of around 40°C to 45°C and occasional dust storms. The humidity is high too, which means it will feel even hotter. Outdoor activities are limited during this time due to the heat; indoor attractions and evening outings are more popular.

Autumn (October to November)

The weather is more pleasant during autumn with cooler evenings and decreased humidity. This time of year is ideal for desert safaris, hiking, and outings to the beach. Daytime highs range from 30°C to 35°C, and lows range between 20°C to 25°C.

Winter (December to February)

Winter in Ras Al Khaimah is mild and pleasant, with clear skies, moderate humidity, and daytime highs ranging from 20°C to 25°C, and lows of around 10°C to 15°C. This is the best time to visit if you’re looking to plan for outdoor adventures and sightseeing.

Spring (March to May) 

Ras Al Khaimah is warm and sunny in the spring, becoming hotter and more humid towards May. This time of year is suitable for beach activities, outdoor sports, and desert excursions. Highs range from 25°C to 35°C, with lows of around 15°C to 25°C.
