Middle East Travel Update
Dear valued customers,
We understand that the evolving situation in the Middle East may affect your current or future travel plans, and we want to reassure you that our teams are closely monitoring developments and supporting customers affected by the latest updates.
Our immediate priority is assisting customers currently in resort or due to travel in the coming days. If your booking is impacted, we will contact you as soon as we have confirmed updates from the airline and can outline your options, or you can also contact our customer care team. Due to the current situation, we are experiencing a higher than usual volume of calls and emails, which may lead to longer response times. We sincerely appreciate your patience as we focus on supporting those needing urgent assistance. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
If you are currently travelling or returning home:
Please check your flight status directly with your airline. If your return flight has been cancelled and you are already at the airport, speak to airline staff who can rebook you on the next available service. If you have not yet travelled to the airport, please contact the airline directly for guidance. For emergency support, you can also call or email our customer care team, who will respond as quickly as possible.
Departures within the next 72 hours – UAE, Qatar and Bahrain (including indirect flights stopping over in these destinations):
The FCDO currently advises against all but essential travel to the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Bahrain. If you are due to travel within the next 72 hours, please do not travel to the airport. We are reviewing all impacted bookings and will contact you proactively to discuss your options or you can contact us for guidance.
Departures beyond 72 hours – UAE, Qatar and Bahrain (including indirect flights stopping over in these destinations):
Your trip is under ongoing review following the updated FCDO guidance. If you are travelling at a later date, please await further updates.
All other Middle East destinations:
At present, the FCDO has not advised against travel to other destinations in the region but there are some regional safety alerts and this is a developing situation so please check the FCDO website for the latest updates. If your flights are operating as scheduled, your trip is expected to proceed as planned. Please continue to monitor your airline for the latest updates.
