Doha city centre has many cultural attractions such as museums and art galleries that feature local and international exhibitions. Exciting leisure activities such as ice skating and bowling are at shopping malls such as City Center Doha. The amazing Gondalania theme park is in the Villaggio Mall. Its architecture is inspired by Venice and includes an indoor canal with gondola rides. There is also an Italianate Ferris wheel. City walks include the Corniche seafront promenade. The Souq Waqif is a historic Arabic market where a diverse selection of goods are sold including local delicacies, spices, and handmade souvenirs.

To the north of Doha is the Al Dakhira Nature Reserve. It has a unique coastal habitat of mangrove forests and salt-laden valleys known as sabkhas.
