IndiGo Reaches New Heights with New and Additional Routes to India from UK

IndiGo is now offering more flight capacity between India and the UK, with upcoming destination launches and additions to its route network. Read on to find out more.

After making its long-haul debut on 1st July 2025 with non-stop flights between Mumbai and Manchester, India’s low-cost carrier isn’t slowing down. Encouraged by a fantastic customer response and the ever-growing demand for travel between India and the UK, IndiGo has just launched direct flights from Delhi to Manchester! There are now four weekly flights on this new route, operating out of Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2.

This exciting new service follows and complements IndiGo’s daily Mumbai-London Heathrow service, which took off on 26th October 2025, and that’s not all; IndiGo has also ramped up its winter 2025 schedule. On 15th November, the Delhi-Manchester route increased from four to five flights per week, and the Mumbai-Manchester service increased from three to four flights weekly on 17th November.

Altogether, this means a 28% boost in non-stop capacity between India and Manchester - offering more flexibility and options to passengers.

All flights will be operated on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, leased from Norse Atlantic Airways. Passengers can look forward to a dual-class configuration on this aircraft, featuring IndiGo’s comfortable Economy Class and its upgraded IndiGoStretch premium seats for extra legroom and comfort.

With these additions, IndiGo continues to spread its wings globally, making travel between India and the UK smoother, smarter, and more accessible than ever before.

Economy

Flying IndiGo’s Economy cabin on the Boeing 787-9 is a smooth experience for a long-haul flight, especially if you’re mindful of your budget. The cabin has a 3-3-3 layout, giving you enough personal space with 31 inches of seat pitch and a 17-inch-wide seat - comfortable enough to stretch out a bit. You can buy a blanket or pillow and take it home - a small but thoughtful touch. 

You’ll also get a complimentary meal and beverage, and if you’re in the mood for a drink with a little more kick, alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. With 7kg of cabin baggage and 30kg of checked luggage, you don’t have to stress about packing light. 

IndiGo Stretch

IndiGo’s Stretch cabin is designed to offer a premium travel experience with enhanced space, comfort, and convenience. The cabin features wider seats measuring 19 inches, a 43-inch seat pitch, 38 inches of legroom, and a 12-inch recline, ensuring ample personal space and superior relaxation on long-haul flights. 

Each seat comes equipped with an electronic device holder, velcro-adjustable headrest covers, and a winged six-way headrest that provides optimal neck support. You can enjoy adjustable leg and footrests for added comfort, along with spacious overhead storage for easy access to personal items. Stretch customers can enjoy a complimentary meal and beverage service, airport lounge access, and generous baggage allowances: 12kg for cabin luggage and 46kg for checked baggage.
