A Holiday to Cyprus Could be on the Cards for You This Summer
Vaccinated British tourists will be able to visit Cyprus this summer - let us introduce you to this stunning Mediterranean island.
The Cypriot Government has announced that they will allow fully vaccinated British tourists to visit Cyprus on holiday from May 2021, without the need for quarantine or a negative COVID-19 test. The UK Government’s roadmap out of lockdown isn’t allowing foreign holidays from UK until at least May 17th (we will continue to monitor updates and keep our eyes peeled for the Global Travel taskforce report on April 12th), but this is really promising news!
Cyprus is one of the most beautiful destinations in Europe, situated in the Eastern Mediterranean region. The island nation offers a pleasant climate all year round, with mild winters and hot summers. Immense Sightseeing Opportunities
Cyprus has a long and rich history that goes back thousands of years, all the way to the Neolithic age. The island is filled with influences from ancient empires, so exploring its cities will feel as though you’ve stepped back in time to a by-gone era. The popular resort town of Paphos is one to note, designated as a World Heritage Site with incredible architectural wonders including the Tombs of the Kings. Cyprus’s capital Nicosia is also a charming historic destination, home to old Turkish buildings, Greek ruins, and Renaissance architecture. Visit Nicosia’s Cyprus Museum for a deeper insight into the island’s cultural heritage.

Delicious Food in Abundance
Foodies, rejoice - Cyprus is filled with gastronomic pleasures. The island’s located between the Middle East, Europe, and Asia has brought about lots of cultural influences when it comes to food. Vegetable dishes are popular here, and there is also lots of fresh fruit to sample. Local favourites include durum (Turkish wrap), Greek Loukaniko sausages, halloumi cheese, mezze plates, and fresh seafood. Let’s not forget dessert also - there are plenty of traditional sweet treats to savour such as sugared almonds, shoushoukos (grape juice based sweets) and Cypriot kattimeris.

Blissful Blue Flag Beaches
Cyprus is renowned for its pristine sandy beaches, some of which have been recognised as the cleanest in Europe with clear waters and soft sands. There are more than 40 official blue flag beaches in Cyprus, and the island’s coastline stretches for hundreds of miles along the Mediterranean Sea. There’s a beach spot for every type of traveller, from secluded bays to bustling beach resorts offering water sports. Paphos boasts some of the island’s best coastlines and is home to the famed sea stack Aphrodite’s Rock, plus there’s Ayia Napa, home to Makronissos Beach, considered the most scenic bay on the island and one of the finest beaches in Europe.
