5 of The World’s Best Airports
We give you a list of the world’s best and most tourist friendly airports which have become destinations in themselves with epic attractions and experiences.
The whole airport experience isn’t exactly the highlight of our holidays. We have to wait in long queues, stress about passing security and shop amongst unwanted crowds. However, some international airports around the world have become market leaders in innovation, offering endless options to pass the time with not only a range of food chains, restaurants, shops and boutiques, but also golf courses, gardens, museums, swimming pools and more… Below are some of the most exciting airports in the world, and at these ones, you’ll probably hope that your flight gets delayed so that you can spend more time enjoying the facilities!
Munich Airport
Munich Airport was voted as the best airport in Europe at the Skytrax World Airports Awards 2018, and that says it all really. This award-winning airport is the hub of Lufthansa which is Europe’s first certified 5 star airline, and it’s home to its own brewery, Airbräu, offering a traditional tavern and adjoining beer garden. There are also state-of-the-art sleep pods here which are perfect if you want to nap or relax before your flight. That’s not it… There’s a visitor park with an observatory platform, a mini golf course, cinema, arcade, an interactive exhibit and an adventure playground, and a traditional German Christmas market is held every year. You can book cheap flights to Munich with Lufthansa and thank us later…

Dubai International Airport
Dubai Airport offers a whole other level of airport experience and it’s the hub of the world-class Middle Eastern airline Emirates. It’s one of the world’s busiest and most luxury airports, certainly reflecting the UAE’s extravagant appeal. The state-of-the-art airport has many shopping opportunities, sophisticated bars, a health club with a swimming pool, gym and sauna and even an indoor zen garden complete with benches, trees and ponds – this is a perfect place to chillax before your flight instead of sitting in those boring and crowded airport seats. Dubai Airport also has igloo style sleep pods and double sleep cabins and offers free Wi-Fi, movie streaming on personal devices and express massage services, so you’ll definitely feel relaxed and de-stressed here.

Singapore Changi Airport
Officially the World’s Best Airport, Singapore Changi has established itself as a world-class tourist destination with endless leisure options for all types of traveller. Across the terminals there are 350 shops, as well as a snazzy rooftop pool, butterfly garden, 24 hour cinemas, a spa, koi pond, open air cactus park, sunflower garden and more… More? What more could you possibly want at an airport? Well, the world’s tallest indoor waterfall and a five-storey garden are set to arrive in 2019 as part of the airport’s newest Jewel structure... Singapore Changi airport is definitely our favourite airport in the world, and it’s the hub of the official World’s Best Airline Singapore Airlines.

Incheon International Airport, South Korea
You’ll feel enriched with South Korean culture at Incheon International Airport. This world-class airport is home to its own cultural museum, which displays a number of ancient artefacts, as well as a Korean Cultural Experience Zone where you can witness traditional performances and learn how to make local crafts. This immense airport also boasts seven garden exhibits with stunning flora as well as private sleeping rooms, spa facilities, an ice skating rink, golf course, cinema, observation deck and free Wi-Fi. You’ll definitely be hoping for a flight delay at this airport! Incheon International Airport is always expanding and a 2nd terminal opened in January this year, so watch this space for more epic attractions.

Los Angeles International Airport
Los Angeles Airport is as snazzy as the city itself, with numerous exclusive boutiques, art exhibits, spa facilities and renowned food hubs such as Planet Hollywood and dunkin donuts. However, the main reason why this airport is on our list of the world’s best and what sets it apart from other airports is its LAX PUPS (pets unstressing passengers) therapy programme. This programme aims to relieve passenger stress and provide comfort through interaction with dogs, which can be found around the departure levels of each terminal with red ‘pet me’ vests. The pups are looked after by a dedicated and helpful volunteer and are free to kiss, hug and take selfies with - ahh! We offer great value direct flights to Los Angeles so you can look forward to the ultimate airport experience with puppy encounters…

Airports around the world are changing for the better and they really are becoming more like tourist destinations in themselves, which makes travel much more exciting.
