Cover six beautiful destinations including Chilaw, Trincomalee, Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya and Colombo on this trip as you explore its top attractions, rich heritage and natural landscapes.    

Day 01: Chilaw                 
After your arrival in Sri Lanka, you will be picked up from the airport and drive to Chilaw.                Enroute, visit Munishwaram Temple and Manavari Temple in Chilaw. It is believed that Munishwaram predates the Ramayana and a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva was located here. Munishwaram literally means the first temple for Shiva (Munnu + Easwaran).                         
Manavari is the first lingam installed and prayed by Rama and till date this lingam is called as Ramalinga Shivan. Rameshwaram is the only other lingam in world named after Lord Rama.
Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at Chilaw hotel.                                

Day 02: Chilaw – Trincomalee                   
After breakfast checkout and proceed to Trincomalee. In the afternoon enjoy Trincomalee city tour that includes Koneswaram Temple, also historically known as the Thirukonamamalai Konesar Kovil, the Temple of the Thousand Pillars and Thiru Konamamalai Maccakeswaram Kovil, a Hindu temple venerated by Saivites throughout the continent. It is built a top Swami Rock, a rocky promontory cape overlooking Trincomalee, a classical period harbor port town.
                               
Also visit the famed Shankari Temple, one of the 18 Devi Temples (Ashta Dasha Shakti Peethas). Many have heard the Ashtadasha Shakti Peetha Shloka starting with Lankaayaam Shaankari Devi composed by Sri Adi Shankara which means Shankari in Lanka. This Shloka enumerates the list of places of Devi temples which are considered to be part of the 18 Devi Peethas.     
Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at Trincomalee hotel.    

Day 03: Trincomalee – Sigiriya
After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya. In the afternoon, embark for sightseeing. Discover the 8th wonder of the world – the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Dating back to the 5th Century A.D, this astounding ‘city’ on the summit of a high outcrop was the royal citadel of King Kassapa for over 18 years.  A miraculous feat of artistry and engineering, its unique features and exquisite frescoes continue to amaze all who visit it, even today.                    

Later, climb to Dambulla cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka, situated 148 km east of Colombo and 72 km north of Kandy. Dambulla is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. Spend rest of the time at leisure in the Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Sigiriya hotel.                               

Day 04: Sigiriya – Kandy               
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Kandy. Enroute, visit spice Garden and Gem Shop. Reach your hotel in Kandy, check in and in the afternoon, proceed for Kandy City tour. This hill capital of Sri Lanka was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. Not only is it a beautiful city surrounded by mountains, it is also home to significant historic and religious attractions such as the Temple of the Tooth Relic. You will also be visiting the Kandy Lake, a great place to stroll under the shade of the ancient trees with the view of the lake. One of the unique aspects of Kandy as its laidback streets full of colorful kaleidoscope and lined with colonial buildings.

Also, explore the sacred temple of the Tooth relic, a historic location on both cultural and religious significance. The Temple of the Tooth Relic is the jewel in the heart of the old city, captivating and majestic. It is a greatly venerated site as the place that holds the Tooth Relic of the Buddha and thus attracts pilgrims from all over the world and the island.                  
Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.                        

Day 05: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Enroute, visit a Tea Factory, one of the main sources of foreign exchange for Sri Lanka and recognized as Ceylon Tea renowned for its high-quality aroma and taste as well as Sri Bhaktha Hanuman temple, where Hanuman was searching for Sita, the Chinmaya Mission of Sri Lanka built the Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple which is visited by thousands of devotees every year.
Arrive at your hotel, check in and later proceed for Nuwara Eliya city tour in the evening. Visit the spectacular Sitha Amman Kovil where according to legend, Ravana, the King of Lanka kept Sita during after abducting her. Try some of the freshest strawberries right here at Nuwara Eliya. Smell the bloom at Hakgala Gardens at 5400 ft. above sea level the Hakgala botanical garden which has a history dating back to 1862. Explore the city’s colonial history with its numerous colonial buildings such as the famous Post Office housed in an 1894 Tudo Manor.                        

Dinner and overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya hotel.                              

Day 06: Nuwara Eliya – Colombo                             
After breakfast check out and proceed to Colombo. Colombo - a drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens.            Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith's quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where there is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. The historic Dawatagaha Mosque and the former Eye Hospital are two buildings in Cinnamon Gardens worth looking at. Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha and the Independence Square.                             

Plus, you’ll be visiting Anjaneyar Temple and Kalaniya Temple today.

Anjaneyar Temple: This is the first Anjaneyar Temple in Sri Lanka and also the only Panchamuga (five faced) Anjaneyar Temple in Sri Lanka. It’s the only temple in the world to have a chariot for Ajanyear.                        

Kelaniya Temple: After King Ravana’s death, Vibeeshana was coroneted as King of Lanka by Lakshmana at Kelaniya. There are murals enshrined outside the Buddhist temple depicting the crowning of Vibeeshana. The Kelani River is mentioned in the Valmiki Ramayana and Vibeeshana palace was said to be on the banks of this river.

Day 07: Colombo– Airport
After breakfast, proceed to airport for your flight back home.
