Upper Class The Upper Class Suite provides the passenger with a luxury leather armchair to relax on which then flips over into a separate bed with a mattress to sleep on. The Upper Class Suite is fitted onto all Virgin Atlantic’s 747-400, A340-600 aircraft and A340-300 aircraft. The Virgin Atlantic Business Class offers a 6'6" long/202cm, (or 6'8"/208cm on the upper deck) Upper Class Suite with one of the longes fully flat beds when compared with other airlines' business class. Across the shoulder, the bed is a generous 33" (84cm) wide. The Upper Class Suite has a 22" (56cm) wide seat. It also has full lumbar support and comes with its own ottoman, which doubles as a seat for a guest. So business can be done with a colleague or a drink can be shared with a friend. Seat Pitch
In Flight Meals The Freedom menu offers a wide selection of light bites, main meals and snacks which can be ordered at any time during the flights allowing the passenger to eat what they want when they want. A good night flight service is also offered to passengers on flights departing after 9pm – so passengers can enjoy a gourmet meal in the Clubhouse before their flight so that once onboard they can maximise their sleep. The Business Class also offers an Onboard bar - a private bar in an area separated from the cabin, which has a welcoming atmosphere. Sleeper service – “Snoozezone” is available on all evening flights of eight hours or under, departing from an airport, which has a Clubhouse where passengers can enjoy an evening meal. After takeoff they are offered a drink, then the lights are dimmed in their cabin so they can enjoy the maximum amount of sleeping time in their Upper Class Suite. Service The Upper Class amenity kit - socks, toothbrush/toothpaste, earplugs, eye mask. The items above are viewed by passengers as the essentials they need to receive on a flight. We also offer passengers pens, lip balm, moisturizer and stain remover if they require these items. On Board Entertainment State-of-the-art inflight entertainment system. A majority of aircraft have the V-port system offers 300 hours of video on demand where passengers can watch or listen to what they want and can start, pause or rewind their chosen movie, TV show or CD. Alternatively, there is a choice of between 14 - 20 video channels plus 9 - 14 audio channels and 10 – 15 games on selected aircraft. Premium Economy Class Covered in sumptuous purple leather the new Premium Economy seat, is now more luxurious than ever. With ample leg room (the seat pitch is 38 inches) and an additional two degrees of recline, you can happily stretch out and notice the extra comfort. In Flight Meals As soon as you're comfortable in your seat you'll be offered a preflight drink and from your menu you can choose one of three tempting meals, to be served on china dinnerware with stainless steel cutlery. You might choose to end with a liqueur and later in the flight we will tempt you with a selection of fresh fruit. Service Virgin Atlantic’s economy service is segmented into Premium Economy and Economy. Premium Economy was first introduced in 1992 as Mid Class, a service aimed at the cost conscious business traveler who for budgetary reasons travels economy but still requires extra space in which to work or relax. The product was rebranded as Premium Economy in November 1994 On Board Entertainment A personal seatback TV offering the latest blockbuster movies, the hottest TV shows, video games and up to 14 audio channels ranging from pop to classical. The onboard TV offers award winning comedy, music, drama and documentaries. Economy Class The Virgin Atlantic Economy Class Seats offer an average seat pitch of 31”; new seats have adjustable headrests and lumber supports. In Flight Meals There is such a thing as a free lunch; Virgin Atlantic offers a free meal and free drinks on all flights. You can forget the usual jokes about airline food, ours is delicious and with enough notice we can even tailor the catering for some specific dietary requirements that you may have i.e. Kosher, Vegetarian, Gluten-free, Medical Meals. These need to be booked through Special Assistance. Service For the outbound journey the amenity kit is filled with added extras including socks, eyeshades, a Virgin Atlantic pen and a toothbrush and toothpaste - all packed into an opaque rucksack. For the inbound journey passengers receive some eye shades, ear plugs, toothpaste and a toothbrush in a wash bag. On Board Entertainment Every seat has its own seatback TV with a choice of channels to keep everyone entertained throughout the flight. Virgin Atlantic ist dedicated to bringing you the very latest movies, comedy, sports, drama and kids shows. On many of the flights each seat also comes with its own video games console with up to 35 games.
